House Sites
Loreto Normanhurst has a pastoral care structure which combines Houses and Years. Tutor Groups are organised vertically with students from each year in the care of a staff member called Tutor. Six Tutor Groups make up a House of students in the care of a House co-ordinator. There are eight Houses, each with their own colour, each of which carries the name of a person/s or place sacred to the history and tradition of the school.
The House Co-ordinator and Tutor remain with the same groups of students each year, tracking all aspects of a student's education - academic, pastoral and co-curricular. Thus students, staff and parents in a House form a "family" with relationships which develop over the six years of secondary school. Year 7, 8 9 and 10 students are under the care of an Advisor who works with students to track their progress across the FACE curriculum, through student/Advisor conversations and plenary meetings.
