Maye
Motto: Hearts and Hands United
Sister Kevin Maye came from Ireland in 1920 and after a short time in Mary's Mount she gave her life to Normanhurst. Her beautiful blend of humour and wisdom, strength and gentleness was expressed in a love that centred on the other. She was greatly loved by the boarders to whom she gave generously and warmly of her time, energy and thoughtfulness, remembering birthdays and making each person feel special. She came to Australia "to work for God and to do it well" and her relationship with God was as natural as breathing. She is buried in the cemetery at Normanhurst in the bush she so loved. Her life is a great inspiration and example.
