School Camps

The school provides a number of experiences that allow students to develop their independence in the safety of close supervision by teachers. The camps begin in Year 7 with an overnight excursion. The purpose of this excursion is to enable girls to bond more readily with all members of the form, to encourage friendships in House, Advisory and smaller mixed groups. It orientates students to Loreto and they meet staff on an informal basis. Additionally it provides an atmosphere where girls can live their Christian commitment to one another and begin to understand and appreciate the traditions of Loreto.

campsYear 8 have a longer camp which is 2 nights and 3 days and it contains both pastoral and spiritual content that is age appropriate and relevant to their social structures. In this camp, students have a longer period of time away from home, identify issues which are relevant and identify problem solving strategies.
