Open Day

Open Day is held on a Saturday in term one each year and showcases Loreto Normanhurst to the wider community. Visitors come from near and far to see Loreto Normanhurst in action on Open Day. Special guests are welcomed to Loreto Normanhurst on Open Day. Past guests include   Federal MP, The Hon Philip Ruddock, State MP Mrs. Judy Hopwood, Mayor of Hornsby Council, Mr Nick Berman and Hornsby Councillor, Mr Mark Lyons. Highlights included Music & Drama on Stage, Year 7, 8, 9 & 10.  Integrated Learning Displays and many “hands on” activities in the curricular and co-curricular area are demonstrated.Tours are always very popular. Ex-students are part of this day and compete in a tennis match and debating competitions against current students.

All ex-students who left Loreto Normanhurst 50 or more years ago are invited to attend the special Golden Jubiliarians’ Afternoon tea on Open Day.
