Nominations 1 term prior to competition by

Trials/grading during weeks 4, 5 or 6
Training/Clinics weeks 6, 7

Week 1 – Student Meeting & pick up Sports

REPRESENTATIVE STRUCTURE
IGSSA
IGSSA is the sporting association through which
Loreto Normanhurst competes against other Independent Girls Schools.
IGSSA is responsible for holding annual competitions in the
following sports:
Softball, Tennis, Rowing, Swimming, Diving, Basketball, Soccer, Cross Country, Athletics, Hockey, Netball, Gymnastics, Cricket, Water polo
Students who represent Loreto Normanhurst in any of the above sports at the highest level may be asked to trial for selection in an IGSSA representative team by the Sports Department. (Only 2-3 of the highest level players from each school are invited to trial).
NSWCIS
As a member of IGSSA Loreto Normanhurst is
affiliated with the New South Wales Combined Independent Schools
Sports Council (NSWCISSC). Our students are able to trail for CIS
teams in the following sports:
Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Diving, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Touch, Volleyball, Water polo.
These teams compete against representative teams from the Catholic and State sectors at NSW All Schools events, from which state representative teams may be chosen to participate in sporting exchanges with teams from other states and territories.
Information regarding trials will be available from the Sport Department at the start of the year.
