The Loreto Normanhurst Aquatic Centre was opened by His Excellency The Honourable Sir William Deane, AC, KBE Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and blessed by Sister Deirdre Browne, IBVM, Provincial Superior on Wednesday 23 February 2000.
The complex offers a state-of-the art 8 lane 25m pool comfortably heated to 28°C.The pool features a state-of-the-art Ozone Treatment system which results in extremely clean water and allows the chlorine residual level to be maintained at a very low level. This results in an environment that virtually eliminates all chemical odours and prevents any irritation to the user.
The Aquatic Centre provides facilities for learn-to-swim, swimming for leisure and competition, as well as water polo. It enables the Loreto Normanhurst community the opportunity for all year round tuition, training and fitness.
