Loreto Normanhurst has a strong tradition of academic excellence throughout its history. Through the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, the school aims to develop each student holistically in the areas of Faith, Academic, Community and Extra-curricular (FACE) development.
In 2017, Loreto Normanhurst students achieved excellent results in the HSC. The school received 2 First Places in Course, 5 Top Achievers in Course and 15 All-Rounders. The whole year group performed in an outstanding fashion. There were 98 students on the Distinguished Achievers list, with a total of 298 mentions.
Eight students attained an ATAR above 99 and an impressive 21% of the Class of 2017 achieved an estimated ATAR of 95 and above, 43% attained an ATAR of 90 and above, and 69% were above 80. Loreto Normanhurst was ranked fourth amongst Catholic Schools, and in 42nd position in NSW (*Source: Sydney Morning Herald, December 15 2017 results).
As a non-selective school, this is an incredible achievement from the students who worked so very hard for these results.
