120 years book – invitation to nominate
Dear Friends of Loreto Normanhurst,
As part of our 120 year celebrations at Loreto Normanhurst this year, we are producing a portrait coffee table book to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and contributions of outstanding Loreto women in the School’s history.
The book will capture the essence of Loreto Normanhurst through a series of photographs of inspirational Loreto women. It will feature short biographies, with words of wisdom and beautiful Loreto inspirations embedded throughout its pages.
‘120 Inspirational Loreto Women’ will be a momentous book that will be treasured by the Loreto community and it will be officially launched at a special event to be held at the School on Friday, 17 November 2017.
Nominations may include members of the IBVM, alumni, board members, parents, members of staff and others who have a connection to the school. We welcome individual nominations, as well as those for families and other groups. These people may have attended or have been connected to Loreto Normanhurst during our 120-year history.
Posthumous, multiple and/or self-nominations will be accepted. If nominating a friend or colleague, approval must be sought prior to the nomination. All nominations will be reviewed for inclusion by the editorial team however, in order to fulfil the set scope for the book for publishing purposes, unfortunately not all nominations can be included. All final decisions regarding editorial content are at the discretion of the School.
Nominations must be received by Monday, 18 September 2017 to enable us to launch the book by November.
Successful nominees will then be notified as soon as possible, and we will begin to organise photography and accompanying biographies and quotes.
This is a very exciting project to celebrate 120 years of Loreto Normanhurst education and one that our students, families, alumni and the wider Loreto community will value now and in the future. We appreciate your input and involvement in this historic project.
