Loreto Normanhurst is a leading Sydney independent, Catholic secondary boarding and day school for girls. Established in 1897, the school is part of a worldwide network of Loreto schools under the care of the Loreto Sisters (IBVM), and is one of seven Loreto schools in Australia.
Located in Sydney’s leafy Upper North Shore, less than 30 kilometres from the Sydney CBD, the school is set on over 25 acres of glorious grounds, and offers state of the art facilities for approximately 900 students, over 200 of whom are boarders from Country NSW.
Loreto Normanhurst seeks to affirm and encourage the development of young women who will take their place in the world as leaders and people of commitment, inspired by gospel values. The school fosters a liberal education, with self-motivated learning and pursuit of personal excellence central to its teaching and learning philosophy. Each student is encouraged to fulfill her personal and academic potential in an atmosphere of freedom, care and respect for the individual.
Loreto Normanhurst is a school that is deeply rooted in the Loreto values (Freedom, Sincerity, Verity, Justice, and Felicity) and has a well-informed future focus outfitting its students for their life in an ever-changing 21st Century world.
