ABOUT US

Loreto Normanhurst is one of Sydney’s leading Catholic independent boarding and day school providing holistic education for girls from Years 5-12.

Located in Sydney’s leafy Upper North Shore, less than 30 kilometers from the Sydney CBD, the school is set on over 25 acres of glorious grounds and offers state of the art facilities for approximately 1,100 students, which includes approximately 160 boarding students, 85% of whom are boarders from Country NSW.
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to be a valued member of the School’s Leadership Team, working closely with our Principal to execute Loreto Normanhurst’s strategic vision.

The Chief Marketing Officer reports to the Principal and leads the Marketing and Communications and Enrolments Teams. This role works very closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Philanthropy and Engagement.

The CMO is our brand custodian, they cultivate new relationships and deepen our existing ones. The CMO is our Chief Storyteller, they also provide strategic insights to assist in decision making, they can independently identify opportunities and drive improvements. The CMO can execute on our strategic plan.

This is truly a rare but coveted role which ideally suits a proven, commercially minded senior marketer who is ready to move into the education sector or make the next step up in their career.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You must be an expert marketer who has experience in growing product, service or brand. You must also demonstrate an ability to develop an advanced and deep understanding of the specialist nature of Loreto Normanhurst as an educational community.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Grow and strengthen the Loreto Normanhurst brand

  • Develop and execute the School’s brand and marketing strategy

  • Shaping the strategic direction of the school by contributing to strategic planning

  • Playing an active and collaborative role in the effective management and achievement of business outcomes in collaboration with the Principal and Chief Operating Officer

  • Plan, develop, implement and monitor the overall marketing and positioning strategy for the School to leverage an integrated approach that fosters growth.

  • Plan, budget and monitor the resource and support needs to meet the annual and long-term marketing goals of the School

  • Prepare operational and strategic forecast reports for the Principal and Executive leadership team

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators for the Marketing and Communications Team and the Head of Enrolments.

 

Experience and Knowledge

  • Appropriate qualifications

  • 10+ Years’ experience in marketing and positioning at a senior level

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful marketing plans, at both strategic and operational levels.

    • Strategic planning experience

    • Senior leadership and staff management experience with the ability to nurture and grow the capacity of others.

  • Demonstrated experience in using data to deliver business growth

  • Hands on experience with CRM tools
