Recently, our Deans of Boarding and Boarding Heads of House hosted get-togethers for each Boarding year group via Zoom. When they can't gather in the dorms, dining room or on the oval, our boarders find other ways to keep connected!
This sense of community, camaraderie and belonging supported by strong Pastoral structures and programs remains important even while our Boarders learn from home. Our Boarding staff, including the Leadership team and supervisors, continue to check in with our boarding students about their wellbeing during this period of lockdown.
Other activities enjoyed remotely by our boarders lately have included Zoom dinners (including an Olympic-themed dinner), trivia nights, weekly games nights with Boarding Coordinators and more. This past week, the Boarding School Leadership hosted our Transition afternoons which allowed us to welcome Year 7 2022 boarders into our community to connect with current boarders and get a virtual insight into Loreto Normanhurst.
