Ashley, Jessica, Sophia and Sofia achieve great results in ACSA exam for Speech and Drama

The Australian Speech Communication Association (ASCA) examinations are an integral part of the extra-curricular Speech & Drama program offered at Loreto. Students work towards an exam, held in November each year, and perform it in front of an audience made up of peers and parents. The exam is designed to help the development of oral communication and public speaking. Information about the ASCA main syllabus can be found here.

All of the 30 students who participated in the exam last November should feel very proud of their results as everyone achieved a Distinction or High Distinction.

I am very pleased to announce that Jessica Webster and Sophia Singh were awarded Studio Medals from ASCA for highest exam results with marks of 97.5% and 95% respectively. Sofia Bartucciotto and Ashley Merhi were the deserving recipients of the Studio Achievement Award for consistent effort throughout the year.

Students who wish to enrol in the extra-curricular Speech & Drama program in 2022 should send an email to Mandie Sutherland at mandiejsutherland@gmail.com and ask for an application form.
