Loreto Normanhurst Cookbook Project

We need your help! Next year, Loreto Normanhurst is marking a significant birthday. What better way to celebrate a special occasion than by gathering over a meal or cooking up a storm?

As part of the celebrations for the 125th Anniversary of Loreto Normanhurst, the Parent Association and Community Engagement Team are launching the Loreto Normanhurst Cookbook Project.

The Cookbook will tell the many stories of our long and proud history through food. We know that when we gather together and have time and food to share, we also deepen our connection with one another. The Cookbook will highlight the diversity, strength and the unique flavour, so to speak, of the 125-year-old community that we cherish.

The creation of this Cookbook will commence in Term 3 (July or August, 2021). It requires assistance from members of our current parent, former parent and alumnae communities. We invite you to don your aprons or thinking caps, and put your name forward to fulfil one of the following volunteer roles:
•    Project Leads
•    Editors
•    Photographers
•    Recipe Testing
•    Food Stylists
•    Graphic Design
•    Printing/Publishing
•    Sponsors

The Cookbook will be published in Term 2, 2022, in time for our other anniversary celebrations. These will include a School Mass early in 2022, and will continue in the theme of a ‘Long Lunch.’

Please click here to complete this form to express your interest in volunteering for the Loreto Normanhurst Cookbook Project. If you know of any friends of Loreto who would be able to assist, please extend the invitation. At times of celebration such as this, the more the merrier!

Should you have any further queries, please contact Jane Dalton, President of Parent Association, at pal@loretonh.nsw.edu.au.
