Welcome back to Term 4!
We hope families had an enjoyable holiday break and managed to get some well-earned rest.
Towards the end of Term 3 we drew the winner of the Qualia Hamilton Island Raffle. Congratulations to the holder of ticket number 305, A.W., who was the lucky winner of this amazing prize.
PAL would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket and supported this raffle. Thanks to your support, we were able to raise over $31,000. These funds will go towards projects at Loreto Normanhurst which support the learning experience of our current and future students.
As we commence Term 4, I am delighted on behalf of PAL to provide you with some event and planning updates for the remainder of this year and for 2022.
The 125 Years Cookbook Project is under way. Thank you to the committee for getting this project up and running. Don’t forget there is still time to submit your recipes and stories. The closing date is next Friday 15 October. We would love to have your recipes and share your stories of Loreto Normanhurst. If you would like to submit a recipe, please click here.
We are thrilled to announce that we are once again holding our Tuition Fee Raffle, our last fundraising initiative for 2021. This raffle is an opportunity to win a $15,000 credit on your 2022 school fees, which will go a long way in helping one lucky family. Further details regarding the raffle are below.
As you would have seen in the last newsletter, we are excited about the return to social events in 2022. PAL would like to invite families to join our community of parent volunteers and to help plan events for 2022. Our goal is to form small teams to organise events such as the City/Country Mothers’ Weekend Away, Open Day and the City/Country Mothers’ Lunch. We are also looking for volunteers to fill a range of roles on our Spring Fair Committee, to help bring to life the much-anticipated Spring Fair in Term 4 of 2022.
Come and join a great team of parents and have some fun next year. If you are interested in joining one or more of our event organising teams, please complete the following short survey. We will then be in contact with you during Term 4 to provide further information.

Win a $15,000 credit on your 2022 school fees! Only 350 tickets will be sold at the price of $103.00 per ticket, including all booking fees. The tickets will be sold via Rafflelink and once sold out, no more will be made available.
There will only be ONE prize winner and ONE grand 1st prize of a $15,000 credit on tuition fees for 2022.

The link to purchase tickets will be sent to families at 10am, Tuesday 12th October. The closing date will be 10am Thursday 18th November, unless the 350 tickets sell out prior, with the draw taking place on the same day at 11.30am.
The building and decorating of gingerbread houses has long been a popular activity in our Primary School. As we are unable to host parents onsite again this year, we would like to offer this fun activity to our whole school community for you to build at home so that the whole family can join in on the fun!
Kits are $35 and include a gingerbread house, royal icing, cake board, cellophane and ribbon. All you need to do is provide your own lollies to personalise your creation! Profits from the sale of these gingerbread kits will go to the maintenance and building of our school.
An invitation with further details will be sent to all families next week. The kits will be sent home with your daughters on Friday 19th November.
