Tahlia Moses, Y10, attended the YMCA Youth Parliament Residential Camp during the school holidays. Selected as the local member for her area, Tahlia and her fellow Youth Parliamentarians spent their time developing reports for submission to the Youth Parliament for consideration. Recommendations from these reports are then take to the NSW Lower House for discussion; with some being upheld and implemented. Opportunities were varied and included meeting the NSW Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, meeting with various members of the NSW Parliament and continuing to network and meet with members of parliament to push through their recommendations. Congratulations Tahlia, we look forward to the closing event in September.
