On a glorious winter’s day, after a few false starts, the Primary School Athletics Carnival took place off site at Dunbar Oval. It was a celebration of our girls’ willingness to have a go at a range of sporting events in both track and field. All our girls showed enthusiasm and House spirit with rousing war cries and great teamwork, ably lead by the newly elected House Leaders. In the 100 meters invitational race, which showcased the fastest girls in the Primary School, Tessa Young (Year 6) was victorious and was crowned Queen of the Track. Thank you to Mrs Wood, Mr Brock and the Sport Department, the House Leaders and the Primary School staff for helping make the day such a success, and to parents for your support and attendance.
Please see below for the results of the day and the girls who have been selected for the IPSHA team.

From Monday, 22 August - Monday, 19 September, students, staff and parents are being asked to support the Jesuit Refugee Service Foodbank, by bringing in canned good and essential items. The JRS provides care packages for refugees and asylum seekers across Australia and the Foodbank is at an all time low, with not enough stock to feed the families and individuals in need at this time. One year on from when the Taliban swept into Kabul in Afghanistan, this is a way our community can continue to support those in need and make a genuine difference to the lives of refugees and those fleeing war and humanitarian crises.
Students across Year 5 - 12, will be asked to bring in specific items per year group.
Year 5 | Vegetable Oil |
Year 6 | Dried lentils and dried chickpeas |
All Year Groups | Donations of any of the following items are also greatly appreciated:
|
Please check the expiry dates to ensure these are suitable for families. Drop off locations for goods will be: The Primary School Student Services.
Thank you for supporting this very worthy cause.
