Sign Up to Volunteer on the Day!

We’d love lots of volunteers to sign-up to help out at the Spring Fair! Sign up for a shift or two with your friends or take the opportunity to meet new people. We have allocated year groups to the different stalls so you will be working with other parents who have a daughter in the same year.

Of course, things can happen, so if you are unwell, or have any symptoms of COVID, please SMS Jo on 0411 618 638 to let us know you can’t attend because we want you to stay home and recover!

Special Callout to Year 6 Parents

We are looking for 2-3 more volunteers to assist in getting the cake packs ready for distribution to Year 5-8 families to bake for the Spring Fair. If you are a Year 6 parent and can spare an hour or two to help us out next Friday 21 October, please meet at the Boarders’ Dining Room at 9am.

Any questions, please contact Celine Boon - daveandceline@gmail.com

Fashion Styling at the Fair

In exciting fashion news, Loreto Normanhurst mum and owner of ‘The Styled Wardrobe’, Caro West, will be hosting special styling sessions at 11am and 1pm at the Second-Hand Clothing Stall! Learn how to create new outfits from your existing clothes and pick up some bargains with expert advice.

Now is the time to go through your wardrobe to reuse and repurpose clothes you don’t wear anymore! The Second-Hand Clothing Stall is still looking for great quality clothing that you would be happy to give to a friend, so please clear out your wardrobes and donate your pre-loved designer clothing, clothing with tags still on, good quality brands, accessories, and shoes. Women’s, men’s, and teen clothing will all be accepted.

PASSIONATE ABOUT BOOKS? So are we! We are still looking for more good quality books.  All books except for school textbooks will be accepted.

Where to drop off? Please drop off at one of the designated drop off times or directly to the school. Additional clothing and book drop off is available in Normanhurst and Turramurra at private addresses. Please email zskelley@hotmail.com for the addresses.

Please contact Caro West (0404 925 625) or Jo Jenkins (0411 618 638) with any questions.

House Gift Baskets

The Gift Baskets are always a huge success at the Spring Fair due to the generosity or our students and their families. Each House is given a theme and students are asked to donate items. Click here to view your house donations.

We are also looking for donations for the following items to help put together the gift baskets:

  • Gift boxes/baskets
  • Clear cellophane
  • Gift box filler/shredded paper - no plastic
  • Ribbon
  • Sticky tape

Let me... Entertain you!

The big stage will have music and performances to enjoy all day at the Spring Fair.

Features include the beautiful sounds of the Loreto Normanhurst Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Primary Band, Chamber Strings, Senior Choir and the Vocal Ensemble.

We are also so excited to announce the entertainment includes an item from the school’s production of Matilda The Musical Jr which will be joined by the fabulous ‘Regent Street Big Band’ (featuring Loreto Normanhurst’s music teacher, Mr Weaver!).

Cheer on Normo as they battle it out in the ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition against performances from The King’s School, Christian Brothers’ Lewisham, St Joseph's College, Monte Sant' Angelo and Hornsby Girls' High School.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support our outstanding performers who dedicate hours rehearsing each week as well as to hear some wonderfully talented bands from other schools.

The Hoedown Girls are coming to Normo!

Two South East Queensland girls, Kate Strong and Claire Harris, have founded ‘Hoedowns For Country Towns’, teaching line dancing in rural areas, putting events back on the calendar, and raising money for charity.

Having set off from Toowoomba in early March, by the time they arrive at the Spring Fair they will have travelled nearly 40,000km and run more than 50 hoedowns. They are incredibly excited to be coming to the Loreto Spring Fair, to get our community grooving and grape-vining!

Thank you all in advance for your wonderful contributions and support of our Spring Fair! Any queries please contact springfair@loretonh.nsw.edu.au
