When Mary Ward founded the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) in 1609, she recognised the critical difference that education would make to her troubled world, especially through the care and development of faith in the individual.
Loreto Values based on Gospel values. Freedom, Sincerity, Justice, Verity and Felicity visioned by Mary Ward nearly 400 years ago – are the foundations of Loreto Normanhurst education today.
Annual support via the Annual Giving Program will enable students currently at Loreto Normanhurst and students in the future to have a rich learning experience and to fulfill the visions of Mary Ward.
Each year the Annual Giving Program will identify specific projects and with the support of the Loreto community aim to raise the full cost of these projects. Through Annual gifts Loreto Normanhurst can plan and deliver tangible improvements which will directly benefit the students at Loreto today and in the future.

Philanthropic support is essential to the health and continued success of Loreto Normanhurst. Each year new families join the school community and are informed of all the capital developments in progress and those planned for the future. We encourage all members of the Loreto Normanhurst family to support the Building Fund through annual gifts and contributions via the Voluntary Donation Program on the school fees. All gifts to the Building Fund are tax-deductible.
By working together we can all make a difference here at Loreto Normanhurst in providing the best possible facilities and resources for teaching and learning for today’s students and the next generation.
Bursary Fund and Welfare Fund
Means-tested bursaries are provided to assist those families who would otherwise not be able to afford a Loreto Normanhurst education. These students come from a variety of backgrounds – day, boarding, indigenous.
By supporting the Welfare Fund you are helping make a difference in the lives of a number of significant young women and offering them an opportunity of a Loreto Normanhurst education. Gifts to the Loreto Normanhurst Welfare Fund are fully tax-deductible.
