Supportive After-School Programs for Academic Success
We are proud to offer two outstanding academic programs designed to enhance the educational experience and provide additional support beyond regular school hours. EXTDAY@LN
Our Extended Day Program is an after-school program offered to all day students in Year 5 to 8.
It operates from 3:15pm until 8:00pm each Monday to Thursday during Term time. Students may be collected at any time during the afternoon.
EXTDAY@LN offers flexibility around school pick-up times and provides an engaging environment where students can enjoy social interactions with peers from different year groups. EXTDAY@LN also delivers the opportunity for students to receive attentive after-hours supervision and participate in sustained periods of guided study, ably supported by qualified teachers and homework helpers.
Staff involved in this initiative are from various faculties including English, Maths, PDHPE, Geography, History and Drama.

This program has been invaluable to us as we both work and to see her enjoy both the social and study components of the program has been wonderful.

Academic Coaching Program
In 2023 we introduced a new academic coaching program at Loreto Normanhurst.
Operating from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Wednesday, this program is aimed at supporting students in Year 9 to 12. Academic Coaching offers students the opportunity to work in small groups of 5-6 with subject matter experts in English, Mathematics, and Science. The Academic Coaches are qualified teachers or current university students with proven expertise in their subjects.
This personalised coaching approach helps students seeking revision or needing assistance with core concepts in their syllabus, ensuring they have the support they need to excel academically. Afternoon tea is included in the $60 daily charge.
