Bursaries and
Scholarships
How to Apply
Bursary applications for students enrolling in 2024 have now closed.
Students enrolling in 2025 who have expressed an interest in a bursary will be invited to complete a Bursary Application Form in Term 1 2024.
Please note that a student who has already commenced at Loreto Normanhurst is not eligible to apply for a Bursary.
The consideration of Bursaries and Indigenous Scholarships will only be made to those students who meet the enrolment criteria of the school. Please refer to the School's Enrolment Guidelines for these criteria.
All Bursary and Indigenous Scholarship applications are subject first and foremost to the successful completion of the enrolment process. An Enrolment Form must be submitted and families will need to be prepared to progress through the Enrolment Process which is outlined here.
Please complete your initial Enrolment Application here and ensure that you have indicated on that Application that you are interested in either the Bursary or the Indigenous Scholarship.
Invitation to complete a Bursary/Indigenous Scholarship Application
Your daughter’s Application for Enrolment will be included in the appropriate enrolment process and considered in accordance with Enrolment Guidelines and availability.
Should we be in a position to progress your Enrolment through to an Interview, you will be invited by the Enrolments team to complete the relevant Bursary or Indigenous Scholarship application once these applications open. Applications for Bursary/Indigenous Scholarships open in the December prior to enrolment interviews being conducted.
Upon successful completion of the Enrolment Process your Application for a Bursary or Indigenous Scholarship will be considered. An offer of an enrolment place will be held until such time that the outcome of the Bursary or Indigenous Scholarship is confirmed.
Bursary Stories
Sarah Palmer ('15)
Bursary Recipient
"I have had so many fantastic opportunities thus far in my life, and a lot of them have been directly and indirectly facilitated through my Loreto education. I have developed so many skills, and exhibit many qualities that were taught to me throughout my time at Loreto. I don't think I would be so fortunate if it wasn't for my Loreto education."
Sarah Palmer ('15) is a fourth generation Loreto girl who arrived as a boarded from Dubbo in Year 7. Sarah is currently studying Medicine at the University of Newcastle, which is her second degree after completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2018 and working as a registered physiotherapist at John Hunter Hospital Newcastle.
Tessa Regan ('04)

Growing up in Coonamble, NSW, Tessa commenced boarding in Year 9 in our "home away from home." Watch this video to hear Tessa describe how she benefited from a Loreto Normanhurst Bursary in her own words.
