Extended Day Program
EXTDAY@LNH is Loreto Normanhurst’s after hours study program for day girls in Years 5-9 and is available Monday–Thursday during term time from 3.00pm–8.00pm.
Participating students remain at the school and take part in extensive after-hours supervision, homework help and guided study. Additionally, students enjoy afternoon tea and dinner, recreation time and access to extra-curricular pursuits that are held on school grounds.
Intended to meet the needs of families and improve individual student growth, EXTDAY@LNH provides a safe and friendly environment supported by teachers and supervisors. Participating students also enjoy the company of our boarders, with dinner provided in the Boarders’ Dining Room.
Research shows that routine supervised study time improves student learning outcomes, particularly when students are supported by adults with knowledge of the curriculum demands of schools. For Loreto Normanhurst students, this program offers the opportunity to access additional guided study support while developing life skills and independence.
