Philanthropic giving holds a special place in our hearts and has done so since our beginning 125 years ago.
We are committed to instilling in our students a deep understanding of philanthropy's transformative impact, particularly in women's empowerment, and that making a meaningful difference is a lifelong commitment. In line with the enduring values of our foundress, Mary Ward and the Ignatian tradition, our students and school community devote time from their busy lives to serve others. We balance contemplative prayer and active engagement in social justice, demonstrating a profound commitment to others.

As we reflect on our time here at Loreto Normanhurst, we are eternally grateful for the experiences and opportunities Loreto Normanhurst has offered us. Thus, a deep passion has been sparked within each of us to be able to contribute and support the Bursary Program and its ability to help those undergoing tough times.
My wife Kelly and I have a particular attraction to the Bursary Program and the redevelopment of the Boarding School. We consider it vital to the culture of Loreto Normanhurst that it continues to cater for girls from all areas of the state and socioeconomic backgrounds and that the Boarding School has the facilities to allow country and city girls to live and learn side by side. It was apparent to us when our eldest daughter started boarding in Year 11 that the Boarding School facilities had reached their limit.
Attending Loreto for my secondary schooling, allowed me to have access to a quality education and be presented with opportunities and networks that would not have been available to me in my hometown. The school’s emphasis on empowering students to be strong independent women, instilled in me the confidence to set ambitious goals and pursue them with determination. Loreto’s Indigenous Program boosted this confidence by demonstrating that there are individuals and communities that believe in my potential and are invested in my success.
As former students of Loreto Normanhurst – and, in many cases, current or former parents – we know the immeasurable value of a Loreto Normanhurst education first-hand. Our time here has shaped us as people and opened countless doors. We know there are so many other girls who would benefit from a Loreto education but need the help to do so. This is why we have been strong supporters of the Bursary Program since its inception in 2000.

Our Bursary Program
Our Bursary Program expands accessibility of the holistic education that Mary Ward envisioned for all young women to students who could otherwise not afford a Loreto Normanhurst education.
Our Indigenous Scholarship Program
At Loreto Normanhurst we are committed to educating young individuals from First Nations communities, whilst fostering collaborative relationships with the students’ families in a meaningful and respectful manner.
